Welcome Week for exchange students
International Mobility Services organises a mandatory Welcome Week for all new exchange students at the beginning of each semester. The Welcome Week supports your transition to university life and introduces you to studying, living, and student services in Tampere. The programme is usually fully campus-based and is not recorded; however, presentation slides are published in Moodle. Please note that your registration with Tampere University must be completed online before the Welcome Week begins.
Welcome Week (autumn semester 2026): 19–21 August 2026
The non-official programme will start on 17 August 2026, and the Welcome Fair on both campuses will conclude the orientation period for exchange students on 25–26 August 2026.
