Sisu instructions: Structure of studies and PSP – new view
This page describes the functions of the renewed Structure of studies view and provides instructions for creating a study plan in Sisu. The new view is still incomplete and in test use.
Instructions covering the old view can be found on Sisu instructions: Structure of studies page.
Please note:
- The new view is still incomplete and in test use. You can switch between the new and old views using the toggle at the top.
- Changes you make affect both views since they share the same study plan.
- If you only want to try the new view, create a copy or a new plan for testing purposes.
General notes
The “Structure of studies” section and study plan are at the core of Sisu. You’ll find most of the functions of Sisu through the study plan, and you need to create a study plan to register for courses and graduate. The plan you create and your choices will be visible in other sections of Sisu: Timeline, Registration, and Study calendar.
Your study plan is based on your study right, and Sisu guides you in selecting the courses that are part of your degree or studies.
Quick Guide
In the structure view, you see your study plan and selected courses. Mandatory courses are automatically included in a new plan. The view shows the status of selections and guides you to choose required courses. Selections are made in the selection assistant.
You can switch between old and new views using the toggle at the top.
Do as follows
- If you don’t have a study plan, create one.
- Go through each section of the plan, click the three dots next to the heading, and make selections in the selection assistant. Follow the instructions and rules shown in the assistant. Save the selections.
- For free choice studies, use the search field to add or remove courses.
Note: Adding previously completed courses is still under development. For now, add them in the old view.
Additional Information
Before registering for teaching, you must select the completion method and implementation for each course.
Applying for graduation requires your primary study plan to be complete.
For exceptional choices, use free edit mode in the selection assistant menu (three dots).
