Intensive week

The studies consist of individual work, group assignments and intensive weeks. We expect you to take part full time during the intensive weeks. The intensive weeks take place on TAMK main campus (Kuntokatu 3, Tampere).

  1. intensive week: 22.-25.9.2025
  2. intensive week: January 2026

Philosophy of the studies

We create knowledge together. There will be some lectures, but mostly we give you tasks and projects for you to learn search for information and share your experiences. This is called co-creation of knowledge.

Curriculum

Take a closer look at your curriculum to better understand your study and learning goals. The individual descriptions of courses include methods, teachers, timing of the course within the academic year, evaluation criteria and exam types.

This information is especially important if you wish to accredit some previously completed Master-level courses, since you need to propose the substitution and discuss the matter with your study counsellor. If you have questions about accreditation, it’s best to send email ahead of time.

TAMK has an agreement with Norlandia Tampere Hotel near campus and students can book accommodation at a discount rate. When reserving a room, inform the hotel that you are studying at TAMK and request our contract price.

Other affordable accomodation options nearby are Dreamhostel, Homeland, Hotel Kauppi, and CitiInn.
