Congratulations and Welcome to TAMK!
This page contains practical advice and other useful information, so please read it carefully.
Please note that changes are possible and the page is subject to updates. Ensure you check the information again before the start of your studies, and remember to follow your TUNI email.
Orientation Days
Tuesday–Friday, 18–21 August 2026, TAMK Main Campus, Tampere
The studies start
- on Tuesday 18th August 2026 9.00 a.m.
- in TAMK Main Campus, address: Kuntokatu 3, 33520 Tampere
- [Room info will be updated later]
In the first week, you will be offered comprehensive information about your studies as well as different kinds of services and support provided to you by TAMK.
The ENTRE Student Tutors will be waiting for you in the lobby of the TAMK old Main Entrance (address Teiskontie 33, Tampere).
Orientation days are mandatory for all students, and the best way to get started. You will see and hear about our facilities and services, meet with everyone in your study group and get to know each other, and talk to the key people in building your future: the head of your programme, your tutor teacher, other coaches, your study counsellor, TAMK social counsellor, student union members and many more.
In case you have a valid reason why you cannot physically join your study group at TAMK for the orientation days, you need to contact the Head of your Degree Programme, Taru Nurmala, well in advance and explain why you cannot attend and ask for further instructions.
Orientation Days Programme
TODO: Before the Orientation Days
Microsoft Teams (later Teams) is an important communication channel during your studies and at TAMK. Therefore, you must have access to it already before the Orientation days!
To be able to join your group's Teams, you first need to activate and authenticate your TUNI user account:
- If you already have Finnish online banking access codes, you can authenticate your TUNI user account: Authenticate with Finnish online banking access codes.
- If you do not yet have Finnish online banking access codes, you will need to use the Finnish Authenticator Identification Service app to activate your TUNI account: Instructions for Finnish Authenticator Identification Service
AFTER you have activated your TUNI account, you can request to join your own MS Teams here: [LINK TO BE ADDED LATER]
Use your TUNI account when logging in. You’ll be accepted into the group as soon as your request to join is noticed, at the latest before the orientation.
Checking of Original Certificates
The control of your original school certificates, work certificates, and other official documents will be extended until you are physically present on campus. Student selection is conditional until the originals are compared with the ones sent during the application stage.
Curriculum
Take a closer look at your curriculum Bachelor's Degree Programme in Entrepreneurship and Team Leadership | Study Guide, TAMK, to internalise your study and learning goals. The course descriptions include, for example, course content, the timing of the course within the academic year, and evaluation criteria.
The curriculum information is especially important if you wish to transfer credits from some previously completed higher education studies. There is allocated time to discuss credit transfer with the Head of Programme, Taru Nurmala or with your Study Counsellor, Hanna Saraketo, during the Orientation Days. NOTE: Credit transfers can be done later during the studies; thus, there is no need to do them at the start of the studies.
