The checklist below lists the things you need to do after you return to Tampere University after studying abroad. With any questions, please contact the <a href="https://intra.tuni.fi/en/node/60523">International Mobility Services</a>.&nbsp;

You need to deliver the required documents within two months after your student exchange ends. The number of documents varies, depending on whether you went on exchange under the Erasmus+ programme or some other student exchange programme. All students who go on exchange are expected to submit an exchange report and a transcript of records upon their return. In addition to those documents students who go on exchange under the Erasmus+ programme must submit a Letter of Confirmation and the Erasmus Participant report. The final instalment of your grant will be paid after you have submitted the required documents.<h4>More information about the required documents:</h4><ul><li>Transcript of records &nbsp;<ul><li>Before you return to Finland, find out where and how to obtain an official transcript of records issued by your host university.</li><li>After you have received an official transcript that lists the studies you completed at your host university, upload the transcript to the Mobile-Online system of Tampere University. &nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Exchange report &nbsp;<ul><li>Fill in the exchange report in the Mobility-Online system.<ul><li>Please note that you cannot save your responses and continue later! If you prefer not to complete the report in one sitting, type your responses to the questions in your word processing software and then copy/paste your responses in the report form.</li><li>All exchange reports are published anonymously and will remain available to students in Mobility-Online portal for five years after submission.</li><li>You can include a link to your blog or vlog in the report, if you blogged or vlogged while on exchange. &nbsp;</li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Letter of Confirmation (only Erasmus+ students) &nbsp;<ul><li>Upload a Letter of Confirmation signed by a representative of your host university to the Mobility-Online system. The Letter of Confirmation must indicate the start and end dates of your studies at the host university. The start date of your exchange period is the first day when you had to be present at your host university (such as the start of the semester, a welcome event, Covid-19 quarantine, etc.). The invitation will be automatically sent from the European Commission’s software after your exchange period ends. (Check also your spam folder.)</li></ul></li></ul>

Documents required from returning students

<ul>
	<li>The credits you earn at your host university will not automatically appear in your academic record. After you return to Tampere University, you need to <a href="https://www.tuni.fi/studentsguide/handbook/uni?page=3127">apply for the recognition of the credits</a> (go to Exchange Studies -section on the page) via the student information system Sisu. The credits earned at a host university will be converted to reflect Tampere University’s credit system, if necessary.</li>
	<li>The process of counting the credits towards your Tampere University degree can take the form of inclusion, substitution or both:
	<ul>
		<li>Inclusion: a course or module you completed at the host university is included in your Tampere University degree as such.</li>
		<li>Substitution: a course offered by Tampere University is replaced by a course you completed at the host university.</li>
	</ul>
	</li>
	<li>The grade for courses completed outside of Finland is always Pass in your academic record.</li>
	<li>The credits you earned at the host university are generally counted towards your elective studies at Tampere University.</li>
	<li>If you completed a more extensive course of study at the host university, it can be included in your degree as a separate module. For further inquiries, please contact the <a href="https://intra.tuni.fi/en/content/service_profile/13715?tab=3">international mobility specialists</a> and/or <a href="https://intra.tuni.fi/en/handbook?page=5480">the education specialist</a> of your degree programme.</li>
</ul>

Credit recognition

After submitting documents regarding your exchange you are able to download Mobility Document from Mobility-Online system. Mobility Document is an official certificate of your exchange that you can use for example as an attachment to your CV or download directly to your <a href="https://europa.eu/europass/en/about-europass" target="_blank" title="https://europa.eu/europass/en/about-europass">Europass</a>.

<h3>Students on city centre and Kauppi campus, if you have finished your exchange between autumn 2018 – spring 2021</h3>

	<li>You will be able to download your document form the <a href="https://www.service4mobility.com/europe/SOPCheckOIOSAMLServlet?identifier=TAMPERE01&amp;is_sso=1&amp;sprache=en">previous mobility system</a> (in problem situations contact mobility.tau [at] tuni.fi). If you have finished your exchange before autumn 2018, please contact mobility.tau [at] tuni.fi (mobility[dot]tau[at]tuni[dot]fi) to receive your document.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Students on Hervanta campus, if you have finished your exchange between autumn 2014 – spring 2021</h3>

	<li>You will be able to download your document from the <a href="https://www.service4mobility.com/europe/SOPCheckOIOSAMLServlet?identifier=TAMPERE02&amp;is_sso=1&amp;sprache=en">previous mobility system</a> (in problem situations contact mobility.tau [at] tuni.fi). If you have finished your exchange before 2014, please contact mobility.tau [at] tuni.fi (mobility[dot]tau[at]tuni[dot]fi) to receive your document.</li>

Mobility Document

<ul>
	<li>You can continue to seek international exposure after your exchange and apply to become <a href="https://intra.tuni.fi/en/handbook?page=3205">a tutor</a> for incoming international exchange students or degree-seeking students.</li>
	<li>International Mobility Services coordinate the University’s international student tutoring programme in collaboration with the faculties, the student union TREY, and the student associations under the umbrella of TREY.</li>

	<li>Remember to submit <a href="https://dvv.fi/en/moving">a notification of move</a> to the Digital and Population Data Services Agency of Finland.</li>
	<li>If you are entitled to social security benefits in Finland, you must notify <a href="https://www.kela.fi/web/en">Kela</a> about your return to Finland in order to retain your right to social security.</li>
