TAMK Student’s Guide

Tampere University of Applied Sciences

Electronic exam facilities

Exams in the TUNI EXAM system are taken in campus-based electronic exam rooms with centralised camera surveillance.

Tampere University has exam rooms on the Hervanta, Kauppi and City centre campuses. In addition, the university has an exam room in the University Consortium of Pori and in the University Consortium of Seinäjoki. Tampere University of Applied Sciences’ exam rooms are located on TAMK’s main campus. You can also take electronic exam visits in other Finnish universities.

You need a key card to enter the exam facilities. The key card is typically a student card. If you do not have a student card, you can obtain a separate key card. Please make sure that your campus access rights are in order before the date of the exam.

Exceptions are the exam rooms in the Virta building, the University Consortium of Seinäjoki and the University Consortium of Pori. A new access procedure has been introduced in the Virta building’s exam room on 1 October 2025. At the University Consortium of Seinäjoki you should use a mobile ID instead of the key card and at the University Consortium of Pori the access procedure of the University Consortium is in effect.

You can find more information about the exam facilities, access practices for specific exam rooms and the Terms of Use for Exam Facilities on the TUNI EXAM homepage.

Please send questions and feedback related to electronic exams and the TUNI EXAM system to exam [at] tuni.fi (exam[at]tuni[dot]fi).
