Break pro workout app

We offer our employees and students the chance to use the Break Pro break exercise app. 
The user-friendly app reminds, motivates and guides you to exercise during the working day.

The Break Pro break exercises are designed by occupational physical therapists and are 
suitable for all levels of fitness. The app provides more than 170 exercises to choose from and 
works on both desktop and mobile devices. The app also features ergonomic tips as well as 
mindfulness, voice maintenance and face exercises.

Break Pro break exercises:
• Improve mobility and support good posture
• Boost circulation and metabolism
• Reduce aches and tension in your body
• Improve concentration and enhance creativity

Options for using the BREAK PRO workout app:

Independent use:

  • Staff and students can use the app independently, for example, when working in their office or study space.

Group use:

  • Teachers can use the app to schedule breaks, for example, during their lectures, classes or group work sessions.
  • The app can be used during meetings, seminars and other events which may also be attended by external participants.
  • The app is also well-suited to be used by teams or groups, for example, in break rooms.

How can I take workout app into use?     

Staff:

Using the app on a Windows computer:

You may install the BREAK PRO workout app via the Software Center.

Using the app on a mobile device:

You can download the app to a mobile device. Use your tuni.fi email address when you sign in.

Using the app on a macOS -computer
  1. Download and install Break Pro for your macOS device: https://apps.apple.com/fi/app/break-pro/id1347827581
  2. First choose the language and allow all notifications for the application.
  3. New users and devices:
    • Log in to the program using your university email address. Enter the activation code you received via email.
    • To ensure that the break exercise notifications work correctly, check the following:
      • Note 1. Break Pro's notifications will work if the program remains running. Thus, you should not close the program but instead minimize the window by clicking the yellow button.
      • Note 2. In order for the notifications to work correctly, some other application has to be active. To ensure this, you can click anywhere within the Desktop area, for example.
         

Students:
