Short-term mobility destinations
Our students have the opportunity to seek international experience by completing a short-term study period abroad. Intensive courses allow you to expand your knowledge of your field while developing your language skills. You can apply for short-term mobility through short-term mobility programs/networks or independently.
Find out more about different short-term mobility possibilities on this page.

Application instructions in brief
• Applying through different programs/networks intended for short-term mobility (Erasmus+, ECIU or Nordlys) or independently
• Tampere University does not have separate application times, you must follow the application times and instructions specified by the course organiser
• Some organisers require an official nomination from Tampere University. The last application dates for these locations are listed in the updated course list below

Erasmus+ blended short mobility
Erasmus+ blended short mobility means that a mobility contains both a short (5-30 days) physical mobility together with a virtual component before and/or after the physical mobility. Erasmus+ blended short mobilities are often completed as a part of a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP). If the University of Tampere is involved in organizing an intensive course, the course teacher will inform about this, and the students will be determined according to the course. If it is a short-term mobility organized by other universities, for which there is an open application, you can find information about these destinations in the updated course list above or directly from the organisers.
Short-term physical mobility is accompanied by a daily Erasmus+ grant, about which you can find more detailed information on the funding short-term mobility page. The grant is applied for using Mobility-Online application form (read more about the privacy notice). The application must be submitted two months before the start of the mobility or on a separately specified application deadline. In the updated course list (see above on this page) you will also find more detailed application times, if the course is organized by other universities.
