Scholarships for fee-paying students

Bachelor's degrees (studies started 2021-)

Students in years 2-4 (if applicable) can be awarded Academic Award scholarship waivers as follows:

25% Academic Award scholarship waiver:  student gains 60 credits / academic year (cumulative)

All students are notified of their personal status after the study records are checked on 15 August annually. Studies counted in the check must be from the previous academic year(s) so evaluated latest 31 July. Student is notified of the awarded scholarship waiver and/or any amount due and owing and payment must be received by 31 August.

25% Finnish language skills scholarship waiver: student can provide TAMK with a Finnish language proficiency test (YKI) result annually by 15 August to be awarded a further waiver based on language skills. The same level results cannot be used twice (Basic / Intermediate / Advanced) and the results must be from the previous 12 month period.

At the time of graduation, degree programme can put students' names forward to the TAMK R&D Fund for Academic Excellence scholarships to be awarded for exceptional work during studies. It can - for example - be based on particularly successful thesis work or practical training. 

Detected and recorded fraud, a warning issued by TAMK, or temporary suspension from studies are obstacles to receiving scholarships.

 


Master's degrees

Students in year 2 (if applicable) can be awarded Academic Award scholarship waivers as follows:

25% Academic Award scholarship waiverstudent gains 45 credits / academic year

50% Academic Award scholarship waiver:  student gains 60 credits / academic year

All students are notified of their personal status after the study records are checked on 15 August annually. Studies counted in the check must be from the previous academic year(s) so evaluated latest 31 July. Student is notified of the awarded scholarship waiver and/or any amount due and owing and payment must be received by 31 August.
