What are BIP exchanges
TAMK degree students and teacher education students can apply for outgoing Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) short exchange at any point of their studies.
What is BIP?
BIP, or Blended Intensive Programme, is a short exchange, consisting of both a virtual and a physical exchange. The physical exchange to a partner Erasmus+ university is usually five (5) days. There will be students from minimum three universities and from three countries. You will earn minimum 3 cr from the exchange.
TAMK degree student may go for the exchange alone or with a TAMK teacher, or a teacher alone may go for the exchange (as teacher exchange). In any case, a TAMK teacher must initiate the process at TAMK.
Information about the BIP course usually comes from the teacher, at any point of the academic year. After the teacher has informed TAMK Student Mobility Services of participants, students can apply for the exchange and the Erasmus+ grant. In 2025-26, the grant for students is 79€/day (physical exchange + 2-6 travel days). In addition, students can get a travel grant.
There are some limitations on TAMK students' BIP participation:
- students can participate in two BIP exchanges during their degree (not twice to the same BIP)
- students can participate in BIP exchanges only in TAMK partner universities
- for an individual BIP, TAMK can fund max. 10 Erasmus+ BIP grants. In other words, that is the maximum number of students who can be sent to one BIP in a partner university
(These limitations were published 8.9.2025 and will be applied to new exchanges which were given to International Office notice after that date.)
