For cross-institutional students arriving at TAMK or Tampere University
Cross-institutional studying refers to the opportunity of higher education students to complete studies at another Finnish university or university of applied sciences (UAS).
In order to complete cross-institutional studies at TAMK or Tampere University, please note the following:
- You must have a valid right to study at your Finnish home UAS or university.
- You must be enrolled to be present at your home institution.
- You can enroll for TAMK's or Tampere University’s courses under certain conditions. The possibility to take studies offered by another institution is based on collaboration networks formed by Finnish UASs and universities. These networks have agreed on certain studies that degree students belonging to the network can complete at another institution. So, you can enroll for TAMK's or Tampere University’s courses depending on which networks your home university and degree programme are involved in. You can find the courses that you can complete at TAMK and Tampere University as cross-institutional studies in your home university's study information system (e.g. Peppi, Pakki or Sisu).
- Cross-studying is free of charge for you only if you enroll for the course through your home university's study information system. If you enroll for the course, for example, through an Open UAS or Open University, the course can be subject to a fee.
- The rules and guidelines of the institution offering the course are to be applied, i.e. students studying TAMK's or Tampere University’s courses follow the rules and guidelines of TAMK or Tampere University.
Check out TAMK's or Tampere University’s cross-institutional courses in your home university's study information system and sign up! TAMK's cross-institutional courses are also listed in TAMK's study guide under the section Cross-Institutional Studies.
