The ceremonies are mainly for master’s degree graduates, but bachelor’s degree graduates who do not have the right to study for a master’s degree may also attend. If you were for some reason or another unable to attend graduation ceremony in previous year/years you are most welcome to attend this year. You may also choose the ceremony that suits you best. Diplomas are not given out in the ceremonies.

The graduated students will form a procession that will walk into the auditorium led by the President. For the gathering of the procession you should arrive about half an hour before the ceremony at either to the lobby of Festia building (Hervanta) or portrait gallery on 2nd floor of Päätalo (City Centre). Guests should find their places in the auditorium well in advance. Graduates may bring up to two guests to the events.

The programme of the ceremony includes the formal procession, music and speeches. The ceremony lasts for about an hour, after which sparkling wine is served outside the auditorium and the guests can congratulate the graduates.

The dress code is either:

•    a suit (a combination of a jacket, trousers and a dress shirt is also all right as long as the outfit is festive) or
