It is not necessary to print a licentiate thesis; they are available online on Trepo, the University’s institutional repository of publications.

Publishing and archiving a licentiate thesisAfter&nbsp;the Turnitin originality check, the student must deposit the thesis in the University Library’s Trepo publication system according to <a href="https://libguides.tuni.fi/theses/submitting_tau">instructions</a>,&nbsp;after which the manuscript can no longer be revised.&nbsp;If an examiner is not in favour of approving the thesis, the student must withdraw the manuscript from Trepo. The examination process will resume after the student has done the required revisions.&nbsp;The thesis will be published once its approval has been recorded in the student information system and the entry has been conveyed from the system to the Library. The grade is not published online. The thesis is permanently archived at the University Library.

After the Turnitin check, the licentiate thesis is submitted for assessment in the Trepo publication system according to the Library’s instructions, after which the manuscript can no longer be edited. The examiners are sent the same version of the thesis as has been saved on Trepo.
