Students' desktop Pakki

At the student's desktop PAKKI you can find services which help you to follow the progress of your studies in real time. These services are part of the Individual Study Plan service package of the student.

You can also access the PAKKI service by using the Tuudo mobile app.

PAKKI does not work correctly via mobile phone. Eg. enrollment for present or absent does not work via mobile, please do that always via computer.

You can see your Thesis grade from ISP.

Your own information (e.g. phone number and address) can be updated in Pakki by clicking on the Study right information link.

Follow Up of Your Goal Plan

You can plan and schedule the studies included in your study plan, and set your own credit goals. The bar graph chart shows how your plans will contribute to the growth of your number of credits during the Spring or Autumn Term.

Transcript of Records (for your own use only, not signed)

You can print out your Transcript of Records where  you will find your completed courses, your failed courses and the courses which are included in the study plan of your group.

Study Entitlement Extension application

Study Entitlement Extension -system in Pakki: letter E (Extension Application).

You may apply for either statutory extension time or discretionary extension time with the same application, even if the guide only mentions the discretionary extension. Guidelines are otherwise the same, please follow the guide.

Meeting Times

  1. If the teacher tutor has defined the meeting times on Ressu - Resource Calendar, so you can book a  suitable time of them to yourself.
  2. Go to the students desktop Pakki and click the Calendar icon, then select Meeting times from Menu. Choose the specific meeting time by clicking + -sign
  3. Reservation information window will be displayed. In the window you can type a message to the teacher. Confirm your participation by clicking  the  button.

Lukkarikone (=Timetable Engine)

By logging in to the Timetable Engine, you will receive an automatic timetable based on the courses you have registered for. To edit the Timetable Engine, first create a new template.

Search for Studies

You can search for all TAMK trainings and implementations. The search is implemented using the Elastic Search technology, which supports searching using keywords and limitations:

Facility Reservation System

Facility reservations

You will be able to make reservations for classrooms, auditoriums and other facilities. You will also find the reservations of teachers, study implementations and student groups in the calendar. You can define the criteria  how the reservations will be  transferred  to your email calendar.

Make a facility reservation

1. Select the room at first. You can choose the room either by starting to write the name of the room or by writing the code of the room or by clicking the Search rooms button which opens  Search rooms window in which you can search the room using specific search terms or browse rooms by unit
2. Next, select the persons participating. Also add yourself if you are going to participate.(then the subscription will be added to your e-mail calendar)
3. Click the suitable point on the calendar where the selected room and the added persons are available, i.e. the calendar is empty.
4. The Reservation information form opens. Now you can check your booking details and select the cost center. The booking can be saved by clicking the OK button.
5. If the student is not allowed to reserve the resource, then an error message appears. The student must seek another resource, e.g. the room.

Find the available room

1. Paint the wanted date / time in the calendar e.g. 1 Apr 2015, 10:00 - 12:00 (do not choose any room, but add yourself as a participant)
2. Click the Search Rooms button on the Reservation information form that is open. The system knows the time of the reservation and can look for the available rooms
3. Select the wanted office, and possibly the room type, do not remove the selection "Room is available", so the system is searching for the available rooms
4. Select from the list one of the available rooms (the room is indicated by a lock icon if you are not allowed to reserve the room).
5. Continue filling the Reservation information form normally and when ready click OK button.

Downloading your Electronic Certificate 

The electronic certificate can be downloaded via a download link, which will be sent to your personal email and will be active for 14 days. 

Download links are sent after the certificate has been created and signed. 

Please ensure that your personal email address in Pakki is up to date. 

Enrollment for the following academic year

Tuition fee paying students enroll as present by completing the 1st tuition fee installment payment by 31.5. Enrollment is added to the registry when payment is received and verified. 

Non-paying students can enroll as present or absent in Pakki for the following academic year. Registration is open 1.3. - 31.7.

Cross-institutional studies

TAMK offers plenty of options for cross-institutional studies for TAMK degree students, including the CampusOnline courses and Tampere universities' cross-institutional courses.
