This page contains information about the enrolment of students for the academic year at TAMK (applies to both degree students and vocational teacher education students).

Information on enrolment for the academic year at TAMK
To preserve your study right, you have to register for attendance or non-attendance each academic year. Please register for the following academic year in PAKKI on 1 March – 31 May. NB! Registration must be done with a computer's web browser, not a mobile device.
If you are on extension time, registration for attendance will be made automatically for you.
Tuition fee paying students cannot register through PAKKI. Tuition fee paying students are enrolled as present when their 1st installment of tuition fee is received (50 % of annual fee). If you are absent
You can use your tuni username and student email but do not have the right to complete studies. You are not entitled to student financial aid, meal subsidy, travel discounts or any benefits of the student union membership.

If you want to change your registration
You can change your registration for the autumn semester by 31 July and your registration for the spring semester by 30 November, by contacting palvelupiste.tamk [at] tuni.fi (palvelupiste[dot]tamk[at]tuni[dot]fi). You will not be able to make the change in Pakki by yourself. Please note that changes in attendance enrolment are not recorded retroactively for the semester.
Changing attendance for a statutory reason
If you complete national service in accordance with the Conscription Act (1438/2007), Non-Military Service Act (1446/2007) or Act on Voluntary Military Service for Women (194/1995) or you are on maternity, paternity or parental leave, the period of absence is not counted into the total duration of studies. Documents proving statutory absence must be delivered to the email address liitteet.tamk [at] tuni.fi (liitteet[dot]tamk[at]tuni[dot]fi) as soon as you receive the documents, but no later than the end of the previous semester. Write your degree program on the subject line of the email and your name in the message. Please note that the absence registration is not made retroactively for the semester.
Documents proving statutory absence include:
- The Finnish assignment to service to demonstrate that the service will be completed during the academic year
- Kela's certificate of maternity, paternity or parental allowance period or, if you do not already have a certificate, a medical certificate of pregnancy. Equivalent certificates of statutory parental leaves given by foreign authorities are also accepted.
From attendance to non-attendance during the current semester
You cannot change your attendance registration from attendance to non-attendance in the middle of a semester.
From non-attendance to attendance during the current semester
You can apply for a change in your attendance registration from non-attending to attending for a justified reason using the form below. Before filling in the application, it is recommended that you discuss the matter with your study counsellor.
NB! If you are a tuition fee paying student, change in registration requires payment of tuition fees for that semester with late fees applied from the original due of that particular semester.
