Credit transfer definitions and processes for studies and competence
Credit transfer (CreTa) refers to the process where your elsewhere completed studies (credit transfer for studies), work experience or other competence (credit transfer for competence) are accepted to a part of the pursued degree or course, into compulsory, optional or free-choice studies. Part of the process is to understand, analyse and demonstrate the competence acquired in diverse manners in relation to the competence objectives of the degree (identification) as well as the provision of official approval for your acquired competence (recognition).
Transferred studies or competence may compensate for curriculum studies or they may be included in the curriculum studies. Compensation refers to compensating studies with elsewhere completed studies of equivalent level and nature as regards the learning objectives. Inclusion refers to inclusion of elsewhere completed studies in the degree. You may apply for an exemption from compulsory language studies for a justified reason. A justified reason may be that you have not previously studied the language in question or have been diagnosed with a significantly impactful learning difficulty.

All credit transfers are applied via eAHOT system in Pakki. Instructions for filling in and submitting the application are available there as well as in these pages.
