Student's communication channels

Matters related to studies and studying are communicated through various channels. The communicators can be, for example, the student counsellors of your degree programme, the head of degree programme, teachers, the staff of joint support services, IT services or the library.

Intranet

The intranet is the main channel for internal communication and a channel to other electronic services. There you will find news, events, links to electronic systems, a Student's Guide, contact information, IT instructions and other instructions. You will receive a summary of the intranet news to your e-mail from Monday to Friday.

Student's Guide

The Student's Guide brings together essential information and guidance to support the student's journey from registration to graduation. The guide also includes curricula and course offerings. You can browse the Student's Guide on the public website as an unregistered user or on the intranet logged in with your TUNI ID.

Tuudo

Tuudo is a free application that is made to make students' everyday lives easier. Tuudo has the student union Tamko's student card, which entitles you to many benefits. Tuudo also has a library card, which allows you to use the services of the library of the Tampere Universities community. In addition, you can see e.g. timetables, study attainments, room reservations, menus, course registrations, your calendar and intranet news in Tuudo. You can download Tuudo for free on your mobile device from the app store.

Moodle

Moodle is usually used as a homepage for courses, where course materials, links and assignments are added, for example. Teachers can communicate with you about current issues in the course via Moodle.

Students’ desktop Pakki

Pakki is a student's digital desktop, where you can plan your studies and sign up for implementations. In addition, you can monitor the progress of your studies, book rooms, book an appointment with your instructor, download a transcript of records and take care of other matters related to your studies.

Viva Engage

Viva Engage is a joint discussion platform for the TAMK and Tampere university students and staff in the Microsoft 365 service. Viva Engage is the virtual coffee room of our Universities community, where you can, for example, communicate and discuss different topics across unit boundaries. You can see the latest messages via the intranet.

E-mail lists

Your degree programme may have an e-mail list that provides information on current issues related to your studies.

Teams

Teams is a workspace for groups in the Tampere Universities community. Some degree programmes have Teams groups through which students are communicated.

Tamko Topics

Tamko Topics is the weekly newsletter of the Students’ Union Tamko, which shares current issues in student life, such as events, services and opportunities to make a difference. Tamko Topics is published on Tamko's website and is also shared with students by email.

TAMK Parvi

TAMK Parvi organises guidance, workshops and events for students to support their well-being and ability to study. Parvi has its own Instagram account, which is used as a communication channel especially in matters related to study ability, community spirit and well-being. You can also find information about Parvi's activities and events on the intranet.

Public websites and Sosial media channels mainly provide information about the higher education community to applicants, partners and other interested parties.
