After completing the Advanced Studies in Architectural Design, student is able to:

• perceive the architects’ responsibility towards society, nature, built environment, client and users within the framework of holistic sustainability
• critically and systematically apply knowledge from the field of architecture and of other related disciplines in one’s own work
• critically apply architectural design principles and theory, standards and requirements and users’ expectations in one’s own design process, comparing the relative merits of different options and positioning oneself
• identify, compare and evaluate various aspects and dimensions of sustainability in different scales of the built environment and systematically apply this knowledge to one's briefing and design process
• perceive the bigger picture, evaluate and manage its constituent parts and their interrelationships, and apply this knowledge in exploring, creating and justifying new architectural concepts and design approaches
• integrate holistic sustainability in architectural design on both conceptual and strategic levels
