- Powder manufacturing methods.
- Powder processing methods. Milling, screening, additive systems, spray drying.
- Characterization methods used in ceramic materials processing at different manufacturing stages. Density, porosity, surface area, pore size, and particle size.
- Colloidal processing. Interaction of particle surfaces. Stabilization methods. Additive systems in colloidal processing. Basic rheology.
- Shape forming. Pressing techniques, slip casting, extrusion, injection molding, tape casting, and 3D printing.
- Heat treatment cycle. Drying, binder burn out, calcination, solid state sintering, liquid phase sintering.
