The Finnish Way of Policing, 4 op

n Finland, public confidence in the police is strong. According to polls, 95 % of the population trust the police. What kind of development led to this level and what does it take to maintain the high confidence figures? Why is it important for the police to enjoy high confidence levels? During the course, students will gain an insight of the historical developments, operational principles, strategies, and ethics of the police in Finland. The students will also have an opportunity to make comparisons between Finnish police education and work and those in other countries.
