Description
Basic studies in education include an introduction to the historical, philosophical, ethical, sociological, psychological and pedagogical foundations of education, as well as research in education.


Education, learning, teaching and training are examined from the perspectives of society, cultures, communities and individuals, taking into account sustainability and diversity and the development of educational expertise.

Objectives
After completing the basic studies in education, students will have an overview of education, training and learning in society at different times, in different contexts and at different stages of the life course, based on scientific knowledge.


The student

- understands the importance of educational knowledge in the construction of expertise and in society

- will be able to articulate knowledge about educational and training institutions and pedagogical practices

- understands herself/himselm as part of educational communities, societies and environments

- understands the role of education in promoting sustainable development and equality

- understands the basic issues of educational research

- has acquired academic study and working methods and skills for expertise and research in the field of education
