Advanced Studies in Environmental Engineering, At least 85 cr

This module consists of compulsory courses and complementary courses, which are selected based on the student's specialization theme. Examples of specialization themes:

1. Sustainable Solutions for Water and Waste Management
2. Digital Innovations in Environmental Technologies
3. Advanced Bioprocesses for Circular Economy
4. Bioenergy and Biorefining
5. Governance for Circular Economy

After completing this module the student is able to

• design water, wastewater, and waste treatment processes and systems
• assess and develop processes and systems in environmental engineering for sustainability, circular economy and carbon neutrality
• apply gained knowledge to sustainability challenges and propose systemic and holistic solutions
• communicate constructively and understands partnerships between stakeholders in decision making
• design and model unit processes and process entities and evaluate aspects of control and availability
• apply knowledge in environmental engineering independently and as a part of a team
