Content

This course focuses on the role of gamification in engaging people with real-world challenges in areas from tourism to sustainable energy consumption, offering hands-on experience in gamification design by critically analyzing different gamification design frameworks, some of the theories behind them, and practical examples. Participating students will develop a basic knowledge to appraise the gamification features of various practices and processes (e.g., mobile apps, customer loyalty programs) while developing a gamification strategy for a real situation or organization.

The course is designed to deepen knowledge of gamification's theory, practice, and design, enabling students to gain expertise on how gamification manifests and can be integrated into technology, culture, and organizations.

The course welcomes students from across TUNI, preferably Master students but PhDs and bachelor students are also welcome (there is a waiting list though).

No previous knowledge or expertise in the topic is required.
