Content
Core content
- Basic properties of audio and speech signals. Most common representations of audio signals. Introduction to acoustics and hearing.
- Processing of digital audio signals: dynamic control, equalization, perceptual audio coding and speech coding, sound synthesis.
- Modern applications of audio and speech signal processing: automatic speech recognition, speech synthesis, music signal processing and information retrieval.

Completion option 1
To complete the course the student must collect enough points from exercises, lecture participation activities, and project work. The student can additionally collect points from online exams which, however, are not mandatory to pass the course.
