Content

Core content

General and common technologies and approaches for physiological measurements: physical, optical and bioelectric. Wearable techniques. Wireless techniques.
Principles, theories, methods and devices of measurements of vital physiological systems: cardiovascular, neural, muscular, and pulmonary system.
Specific applications of physiological measurements: patient monitoring and ambulatory monitoring.

Complementary knowledge

Analytical methods.
Analysis methods of the measurements.
Fetal and neonatal monitoring.
Recordings for the control of therapeutic devices. Implantable systems.

Accepted laboratory works and final exam. The final grade of the course is determined based on the assessment of all part of the course. The weighting factor of each part is given at the beginning of the course.
