Content

Join the course "BBT.MB.602 Functional Genomics (5 cr)" to learn about basic mechanisms of regulation of prokaryotic and eukaryotic gene expression and how these influence the functioning of the organism.

The course will consist of lectures by specialists in the following topics: Prokaryotic mechanisms of individual gene expression regulation. Prokaryotic mechanisms of global gene expression regulation. Eukaryotic gene expression regulation mechanisms and Epigenetic inheritance. Mechanical mechanisms of gene expression regulation. Circadian gene regulation. Quantitative insights into regulatory mechanisms of Eukaryotic gene expression: Drosophila embryogenesis.

Mitochondrial gene expression regulation. Functional RNAomics. Medical Systems Biology.

In addition, there will be several exercises throughout the course, such as presentations and pitches, and participation in scientific events.
