The course covers the theory and applications of the finite element method (FEM) from the perspectives of mathematical modeling and numerical analysis. The focus is on deriving the weak form and constructing numerical approximations for second-order partial differential equations (PDEs). The course introduces discretization strategies and numerical implementation for various PDE problems through practical examples.
