Master’s Seminar and Thesis, Sustainable Business Management, 40 cr

The seminar is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and tools required to conduct good quality research and adhere to the principles of sound academic practice. It provides guidance and support for each stage of developing and working on an independent thesis, including defining the research problem, refining the thesis' topic, designing empirical research, and structuring and reporting findings and conclusions with both scientific and practical value. Additionally, the seminar offers practical support for writing the master's thesis. ​

The seminar is structured into four stages, each contributing to the completion of the master's thesis project: ​

• Part one (Seminar 1) initiates the master's thesis process. Students prepare, submit and present their idea papers, topic analyses, and research plans. This part includes activities that support the initial stages of the thesis project, as well as peer-review tasks.​

• Parts two (Seminar 2) and three (Seminar 3) ensure the progression of the master's thesis. During these stages, students prepare, submit, and present successive chapters of their master's thesis, while also supporting their peer students' thesis projects by reviewing each other's work. ​

• Part four (Independent Study) involves individual learning activities during all stages of the master's thesis process. These activities further support the thesis project, such as literature searches, reading and writing, and data collection, analysis, and reporting.
