Graduation schedules
Graduation is possible continuously, without dates set by TAMK.
Degree programmes
You can apply for graduation once you have completed all the studies required for a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Respond to the AVOP feedback survey only after all your studies have been assessed in the student register (PAKKI), or when you know that any missing assessment (e.g., thesis) will be recorded soon.
Professional Teacher Education
You can apply for graduation once you have completed all the studies required for Professional Teacher Education programme and your study assessments are recorded in the student register (PAKKI).
Graduation Instructions and Timelines for Degree Programmes

Log in to PAKKI
- Ensure that all assessments and credit transfers are recorded in your Individual Study Plan (ISP).
- Check that your name and contact details are correct. If necessary, request corrections via: servicepoint.tamk [at] tuni.fi (servicepoint[dot]tamk[at]tuni[dot]fi)

Make sure your thesis has been uploaded to the Theseus database
- If needed, log in to Theseus database using your HAKA credentials.
- Select "Tampere Universities" as your institution.

Proceed to the graduation application in PAKKI
- Complete the AVOP feedback questionnaire for graduating students. See more information on the AVOP questionnaire page.
- Select the date you wish to graduate.
- All assessments need to be recorded before your graduation date.
- Please note that your graduation date may affect your student's financial aid. More information is available on Kela’s website.

- Enter the urn.fi address of your thesis in the graduation application.
- Join TAMK Alumni via the graduation form to access alumni benefits.

For students in the social and health care sector:
- Apply for the right to practise as a licensed professional via Valvira’s online service no earlier than your graduation date and no later than 30 days after graduation.
- Note: You do not need to submit your degree certificate to Valvira.
- As of 2026, Valvira will form part of the new Finnish Supervisory Agency.

After completing the AVOP feedback questionnaire, your graduation application will be reviewed by the person who checks your Individual Study Plan. Once approved, the Study Administration Coordinator will prepare your degree certificate.
The graduation process takes approximately three weeks. You will receive a download link for your degree certificate by email. Please note that processing times may be longer at the end of the semester.

- Select the date you wish to graduate.
- If you do not specify a date, your graduation date will be the date you submit your application, as long as all assessments have been recorded by then.

- Select the date you wish to graduate.
Your graduation application will be reviewed by the person who checks your Individual Study Plan. Once approved, the Study Administration Coordinator will prepare your certificate.
The graduation process takes approximately three weeks. You will receive a download link for your certificate by email. Please note that processing times may be longer at the end of the semester. In August 2025, processing time may be longer than three weeks due to an update to the graduation system.
Downloading Your Electronic Certificate
You can download your electronic certificate via the link sent to your Individual email address. The link is valid for 14 days from your graduation date. Download links are sent after the certificate has been created and signed. Please ensure your personal email address in PAKKI is up to date.

Validity of User Accounts
Your user account will be deactivated 14 days after your study right ends. You can check the validity of your account at id.tuni.fi.
Please save any important materials (e.g. emails, Moodle content) before your account is closed.
