Studying facilities for students
Rooms for students to use and book in university's campuses
All the rooms listed here are meant primarily for studying or teaching. Staying overnight and intoxication are prohibited.
Student can book a room in Resource Booker if a room is bookable. All these rooms can be used without a reservation if the room is available. Please note that someone can book a room while someone else is using it. The person with a reservation has the right to use the room and ask others to leave.
There are also classrooms in university that are for students to use when there are no other bookings and doors open with students access rights.
It is possible to book a room in Resource Booker and also use it to just check current availability. You can also see the updated booking situation in timetables.
If a room that is for students to use is not open or it can't be opened with your access card, please contact the Info desk.
Please don't take any furniture from a room and also don't take extra furnitures into a room. See also the code of conduct in intranet. Rooms are meant for Tampere universities students, security guards have the right to remove a person from the premises if necessary, for example if a person is not a member of Tampere universities.
Limitations to bookings
1. bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance
2. bookings must be between 8:00 and 20:00
3. max 2 bookings per day
4. max 4 bookings per seven days
5. max 2 hours duration per booking

- Bookable rooms with 24/7 access can be booked every day between 08:00 and 22:00. Outside that they are available for all students without bookings.
- Accessibility in other that 24/7 buildings may vary depending on holidays or other occasions.
- Library may have different terms.
Hervanta campus
General areas are 24/7 accessible. Bookable rooms are located in Tietotalo.
You must exit the room or area after 22:00 if it's not part of the general area or a 24/7 room.
The language center classrooms in the main building are available for free use when not reserved. Access to the classrooms is granted with a student card during the language center's opening hours from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. On the same principle, the facilities in Konetalo (K1241, K1320), Rakennustalo (RH201, RH215), and Tietotalo (TC161) are also available.
Kauppi – Arvo
Rooms with 24/7 access are located in Arvo 1 side of the building.
You must exit the room or area by 20:00 if it's not part of the 24/7 area. Arvo 2 is accessible on weekdays 08-20.
City Centre - Linna
Access on weekdays 08-20. After that students must exit the building or move to the silent reading area which is available 24/7
City Centre – Pinni B
Access on weekdays 08-20.
City Centre - Päätalo
Access on weekdays 08-20 and Saturdays 09-15.
City Centre - Virta
Access on weekdays 08-20.

Student space reservation policies on Tamk campus
Through Pak, students have limited reservation rights to the facilities of their own educational unit. It is also possible to reserve conference rooms assigned to students and a few teams rooms. With the Tuudo mobile application, students can reserve general education facilities (theory and computer classes) so that the possibility of booking the facilities is always open for a week in advance.
Space reservation restrictions
1. Reservations can be made a maximum of 7 days in advance
2. Reservations can be made between 08:00 and 20:00
3. A maximum of two space reservations per day
4. A maximum of four reservations within 7 days.
5. Reservation duration maximum 2 hours

Organizing an event on TAMK's main campus - instructions for event organizers
TAMK's campus area is an excellent environment for organizing various events of the higher education community. However, when organizing events, it is important to remember the common rules of the game for a smooth and safe event. The university's facilities and equipment are primarily intended for use in studying, research and conducting events related to higher education. The event organizer must familiarize themselves with the rules of procedure, safety instructions and other instructions issued by TAMK regarding organizing the event.
The event organizer is responsible for ensuring that:
- The event complies with the rules of procedure of the Tampere University Community, instructions on event safety and these instructions, which supplement the above.
- The premises required for the event have been reserved for the event in accordance with the instructions
- A person in charge and a deputy have been appointed for the event
- The practical arrangements required for the event have been agreed upon in advance in accordance with the instructions
- The event has the required notifications and permits
The event organizer is also responsible for all ancillary events related to the event that arise from the event (for example, queuing for tickets). In addition, the organizer is responsible for other additional costs caused by the event and for fees arising from careless or reckless actions, such as fire alarm fees.
Events may be organized on TAMK's main campus during the property's opening hours.
At events organized on Tampere University of Applied Sciences' main campus, alcohol consumption is permitted at separately permitted events and occasions. Alcohol consumption may not cause a disturbance, and anyone appearing disruptively intoxicated may be removed from the campus area.
TAMK's main campus is a smoke-free campus and smoking is only permitted in marked areas.
The event organizer is responsible for arranging waste management and toilet facilities for events held in the yard areas. The event organizer is responsible for cleaning the yard areas after the event. TAMK has the right to charge the event organizer for the cleaning costs incurred by the event.
The event organizer is responsible for ensuring that the parking instructions of Tampere University of Applied Sciences are followed at the event. Vehicles may only be parked in the parking spaces reserved for them. Parking on emergency vehicles is always prohibited.
The event organizer is responsible for instructing the event participants.
